The Kansas City Chiefs continued their hot start to the 2023 NFL season with a dominant 41-10 victory over the Chicago Bears in Week 3. Patrick Mahomes threw for 325 yards and three touchdowns, and the Chiefs defence held the Bears to just 276 total yards.

The Bears responded with a field goal early in the second quarter to cut the lead to 14-3, but the Chiefs answered right back with a touchdown drive of their own. Mahomes capped off the drive with a 1-yard touchdown run to give the Chiefs a 21-3 lead.

The Chiefs added another touchdown before halftime on a 7-yard pass from Mahomes to Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and they took a 28-3 lead into the locker room.

The Chiefs continued to dominate in the second half, adding two more touchdowns to their lead. Mahomes threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Marquez Valdes-Scantling in the third quarter, and then connected with Isiah Pacheco for a 10-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter.

The Bears finally got on the board in the fourth quarter with a 1-yard touchdown run from David Montgomery, but it was too little too late. The Chiefs cruised to the 41-10 victory.

The Chiefs improved to 3-0 with the victory, while the Bears fell to 0-3.

Mahomes has a monster game

The Chiefs’ defence also forced two turnovers, including a fumble and an interception.

The Chiefs’ defence has been a pleasant surprise this season. They have held their opponents to an average of just 17.3 points per game in the first three weeks of the season.

Bears look lost

The Bears have struggled mightily in the first three weeks of the season. They have been outscored 102-47 in their first three games.
